I love stop motion. From the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari to Nosferatu and Tim Burton's Vincent there's something about the stiff movements and dark color palette (mostly because they were shot in black and white, but also because of the influence of German expressionism) that really hits home with me. It's also all about opposites: dark and light, good and bad. Wrestling with what is normal and what is macabre.
